The mikeroweWORKS Foundation Provides Tools Scholarships for Students in AED Accredited College Diesel-Equipment Technology Programs

The mikeroweWORKS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that promotes work ethic and supports the skilled trades.  As CEO of the Foundation, Mike Rowe spends a significant amount of time speaking about the country’s dysfunctional relationship with work, highlighting the widening skills gap, and challenging the persistent belief that a four-year degree is automatically the best path for the most people.

Through its AED Foundation Tool Scholarship Program, the Foundation provides students with financial assistance for tools needed to pursue construction career opportunities.  2016 marks the sixth year that the Foundation has offered this scholarship program to AED Affiliated colleges, contributing a total of $283,000 in tool scholarships to 295 students since the program’s inception.
